The latest version also includes platform compatibility with flexible linear gantry systems, allowing for system configuration to be achieved directly through Machine Setup. It also supports the iXA4 PWM servo drive, offering a 4-axis DC power supply (100 VDC), expansion board options, integration with safety controllers via STO, and communication protocols like EtherCAT and MODBUS. These features aim to improve system flexibility and integration.

Additionally, version 2.8 introduces data collection presets that simplify switching between predefined configurations, reducing setup time and improving workflow efficiency. Additionally, the help file now includes a reorganized homepage that streamlines access to hardware manuals and key sections such as data collection, controller status, and motion control.

For the added convenience of CNC machine builders, version 2.8 also includes custom T-codes for the Aerotech G-code dialect, allowing for custom Aeroscript routines and tool selection processes. It also offers cutter and work offset compensation tools, enabling adjustments for X, Y, and Z tool offsets or motion programming relative to a fixed point.
