Altimetrik, global industry experts in AI-native engineering, has launched an industrial AI service line designed to help manufacturers integrate artificial intelligence directly into machines, factory floors and supply chain operations. The service line includes three solutions, Smart Machines, Smart Plants and Smart Operations, which can be deployed independently or combined to support the progression from an individual machine or use case to plantwide and enterprise-wide autonomous operations.
The solutions are intended for manufacturers and equipment suppliers across the semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial machinery and pharmaceutical sectors. Altimetrik will deliver the service line through executive advisory, pilot-to-platform development and strategic transformation programs, allowing manufacturers to begin with a defined operational challenge before expanding AI capabilities across production and business operations.
“The measure of industrial AI is simple: how much waste does it remove from the line. Less downtime, less scrap, less capital tied up in inventory. This service line takes the engineering discipline of ALTi AIOS™ to the factory floor, and our work with LMW shows what that looks like: AI embedded in the machines themselves, improving accuracy and uptime,” said Raj Sundaresan, CEO, Altimetrik.
Smart Machines is designed for equipment manufacturers seeking to embed AI directly into their products and for plant operators looking to improve the performance of existing production assets. The solution combines machine connectivity, digital twins, closed-loop optimization and predictive maintenance to create more adaptive equipment capable of identifying and correcting potential issues before they interrupt production.

Altimetrik has launched Smart Machines, Smart Plants and Smart Operations to help manufacturers scale AI from individual equipment applications to plantwide autonomous operations.
By processing machine telemetry and sensor data in real time, Smart Machines is designed to support decisions at the edge within milliseconds. This allows equipment to respond to changing production conditions while helping manufacturers reduce unplanned downtime, improve machine accuracy and maintain more consistent performance.
Smart Plants extends these capabilities across machines and production lines by integrating plantwide operational data. The solution applies overall equipment effectiveness, throughput intelligence and quality prediction systems to help manufacturers identify relationships between equipment performance, production flow and product quality.
The resulting environment is designed to support perception-decision-action autonomy across the factory floor. Altimetrik says the approach can help manufacturers improve yield, shorten cycle times and reduce labor and quality costs while maintaining greater visibility into plant operations.
Smart Operations applies AI across the broader manufacturing value chain. The solution incorporates service and supply chain analytics to help organizations strengthen operational resilience, reduce working capital requirements and identify new revenue streams. It is designed for manufacturers and service providers managing equipment performance, service delivery, inventory and supply chain operations across multiple facilities or customer locations.
“Customers seek AI services firms who tie machine intelligence to plant-wide and enterprise-wide outcomes. This is the type of pragmatic approach manufacturers need to get past pilots and deliver real results, rather than treating AI as a standalone capability,” said R “Ray” Wang, Founder, Chairman and Principal Analyst, Constellation Research Inc.
Altimetrik is currently working with Lakshmi Machine Works Limited, an engineering conglomerate and manufacturer of textile machinery and machine tools, to embed AI and machine learning capabilities across its textile and machine tool businesses. The engagement is focused on using AI-powered automation to improve machine accuracy, equipment uptime and service responsiveness while reducing dependence on specialized shop-floor skills.
“In our ongoing engagement with Altimetrik, we remain fully assured of their proven AI-powered automation capabilities to drive tangible value across our global operations through improved machine accuracy and uptime. This we believe will reduce shop-floor skill dependency thereby accelerating our service responsiveness. We look forward to deepening this partnership as we continue to embed such intelligence across our product portfolio,” said Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman and Managing Director, LMW Limited.
Altimetrik’s industrial AI solutions are designed to build on existing physical and operational technology infrastructure rather than requiring manufacturers to replace installed hardware, sensors or edge devices. The company also applies what it calls a human-at-the-helm approach, allowing plant personnel to retain oversight and control as AI takes on greater responsibility within production environments.
