The upgraded platform introduces new tools to improve precision, adaptability, and performance in vision-guided robotics—without requiring advanced vision programming skills. Vue 9.50 is designed to accelerate deployment, simplify calibration, and enhance reliability in high-throughput factory settings.

Already in use by the six largest automotive OEMs in North America, Apera Vue is optimized for advanced automation tasks such as bin picking, de-racking, and assembly. The platform’s 4D Vision system combines human-like spatial awareness with AI-based decision making, enabling robots to function more effectively in dynamic production environments.

New Vision-Guided TCP Calibration is featured in Apera Vue 9.50 software release.

The Vue 9.50 update introduces key features to address real-world variability, including Vision-Based Bin Finding, which compensates for misaligned bins due to shift or replenishment movement. This tool helps eliminate downtime and the need for manual reconfiguration, ensuring accuracy across variable material handling workflows.

Also new in this release is Guided Tool Center Point (TCP) Teaching, which allows integrators to calibrate end-of-arm tools directly within the Vue interface with sub-millimeter precision. This advancement reduces the performance loss caused by minor gripper tolerances or calibration drift and ensures accurate picks over time.

To support ongoing optimization, Vue 9.50 includes a built-in Recording & Playback System that captures and replays key image sequences. This function aids troubleshooting and enables engineers to fine-tune vision-guided tasks using real production data. Additionally, the new Accuracy Insight tool provides structured system analysis for identifying performance bottlenecks, verifying calibration, and maintaining long-term accuracy.

For placement applications, Vue 9.50 introduces Placement Groups, which simplify multi-point programming by allowing inherited path data. This reduces programming time and supports high-speed placement operations. The update also includes upgraded ChArUco calibration boards, combining checkerboard and ArUco markers for improved calibration accuracy, repeatability, and setup speed.
