Hexagon AB, global industry experts in manufacturing intelligence, metrology, and AI-enabled industrial automation, has announced the acquisition of IconPro GmbH, a Germany-based provider of industrial AI solutions focused on intelligent asset maintenance.
IconPro develops Apollo, an intelligent maintenance software platform that remotely monitors machine operations, operating conditions, and system events. The platform applies AI-based analytics to support predictive maintenance and data-driven decision-making across industrial assets.

By integrating IconPro’s capabilities into its existing metrology portfolio, Hexagon aims to enable intelligent maintenance of its coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). This integration is intended to reduce unplanned downtime and improve productivity, quality, and production throughput in automated manufacturing environments.
The integration of IconPro’s technology will also enable Hexagon to expand its AI-driven analytics and operational insights across its global installed base. Initial deployment will focus on Hexagon’s Stationary Metrology Division within its Manufacturing Intelligence business area, with broader application potential across additional metrology and automation platforms over time.

The transaction is expected to close in December, with complete consolidation anticipated shortly thereafter. IconPro is projected to generate approximately €2 million in revenue in 2026, with initial profitability expected to be below that of Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence business area.
