Mouser Electronics, Inc. has announced a new distribution agreement with igus GmbH, a global developer of industrial motion systems and “motion plastics” for Industry 4.0 and 5.0. The partnership expands Mouser’s automation portfolio with advanced polymer-based cables, robotic components, and motion control solutions engineered to increase durability and reduce maintenance in demanding industrial environments.

With more than 60 years of materials and design expertise, igus offers a broad range of automation products, including flexible cables, energy chains, and sensors used in machine tooling, automotive manufacturing, food and beverage packaging, medical and laboratory equipment, and smart agriculture. The company’s innovations focus on improving performance while reducing the total cost of ownership for OEMs and end users.

Among the new offerings available through Mouser are the igus ReBeL® (Robotic embedded-BLDC and electronics Link) cobots, compact robotic arms that feature up to six degrees of freedom. Their lightweight design and integrated electronics make them suitable for assembly, inspection, and service applications requiring safe human–machine collaboration.

Mouser also now offers igus gantry robots, or cartesian/linear systems, which combine X-, Y-, and optional Z-axes for high-precision repetitive motion tasks such as pick-and-place, labeling, or measurement. These systems employ self-lubricating polymer liners rather than ball bearings, creating a quieter, cleaner, corrosion-resistant, and maintenance-free design.

The drylin® Delta robots from igus extend these advantages to fast-positioning and small-parts handling applications. Their lightweight, self-lubricating actuators deliver ±0.5 mm accuracy for belt transfer, sorting, and inspection systems.

For cable management, igus e-chain® carriers guide and protect data, power, and signal lines in harsh environments. Their modular, low-weight design minimizes downtime while extending cable life. Mouser will also carry chainflex® cables, with more than 1,300 types available for data, bus, hybrid, servo, fiber-optic, and robotics applications.

Mouser’s global distribution network provides engineers and buyers with fully traceable, 100 percent genuine products ready to ship from its one-million-square-foot logistics center in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area. The company’s website features a comprehensive Technical Resource Center with datasheets, application notes, and engineering tools to support design projects worldwide.
