The SuperTrak Horizon3™ conveyance platform is a closed-loop magnetic transport system engineered to optimize machine throughput and efficiency. It supports payloads of up to 3 kilograms per shuttle and features a minimum carrier pitch of 50 millimeters, allowing high-speed handling of closely spaced objects. These capabilities make it ideal for high-throughput applications in the packaging sector and beyond.

By integrating the platform with Siemens’ TIA Portal and Simatic S7-1500T controllers, manufacturers gain advanced motion-control functionality. Each shuttle can be controlled independently through technology objects, enabling synchronized motion tasks such as grouping shuttles or clamping products between shuttles for specific processes like filling. Real-time communication ensures precise coordination of all motion sequences.

Streamlined Engineering and Deployment

The integration with Siemens’ TIA Portal reduces engineering complexity for machine builders. A 3D simulation and animation tool provides valuable insights into system layout, required shuttle numbers, and throughput optimization, enabling faster and more efficient system design. Standardized interfaces further streamline commissioning and minimize installation time.

“By leveraging Siemens’ strengths in automation and digitalization alongside SuperTrak CONVEYANCE™’s expertise in smart conveyance, we’ll help solve the manufacturing challenges our customers face on a daily basis,” said Rainer Brehm, CEO Factory Automation at Siemens. “Together we’re enabling manufacturers to build and deploy high-performing and innovative automation and transport systems that increase throughput and reduce operational costs.”

“Smart conveyance enables a more effective process design that helps machine builders and manufacturers achieve higher performance in a smaller footprint,” shared Ben Hope, Director of Product Commercialization at SuperTrak CONVEYANCE™. “Combine that with full integration in the TIA Portal, users can now utilize our technology together with Siemens’ motion-control tools.”

A Flexible and Scalable Solution

The SuperTrak Horizon3™ system offers versatile layout options, making it adaptable to diverse applications. Designed for smaller payloads and products, it provides manufacturers with a scalable, space-saving solution that meets the demands of modern production lines.
